Ray's Photo Gallery
Ray has been taking photos for many years. He started in the Navy with a Pentax 35 MM SLR camera. When it bit the dust (from a trotting horse). He gave up photography until the digital age improved significantly.
He started with an Olympus C-2100 camera that feature a whopping 2.1 megapixels. It's 10 to 1 optical zoom made up for the deficiencies of the earlier digital cameras. He was able to use it to win several blue ribbons at the Evergreen State Fair.
Having started with an SLR camera, and desiring to get sharper pictures, he later used a Nikon D50 camera with 6.1 megapixels. The 18-55 MM lens an a Quantaray 70-300 MM lens provided a significant improvement over the Olympus cameras as well as giving options for speed, aperture, and ISO settings enabling him to create quality pictures that were previous only possible with film.
He now uses a Nikon D3100 (14.2 megapixels) with the standard 18-55 MM lens and 70-300 MM lens. The camera has the same options as the D50 and more. He welcomes the image stabilizing lens and the greater resolution to produce better cropping of distant objects.
On these pages are some of his work that he would like to share with you.
